As the new Principal, I would like to take this opportunity to share a little bit about myself. My name is Bassant Abdelrahman, and I am the principal of Quail Run Elementary School. I am originally from vibrant Cairo, Egypt, and now proud to call the United States home since 2008. Beyond being a pharmacist, I'm deeply passionate about education. I started my education career in 2013 and have had the privilege of serving as a middle school science teacher in Texas and California, a middle school assistant principal in San Carlos, and a high school assistant principal at Dougherty Valley High School. My passion for education comes from creating a positive, nurturing, and inclusive school culture where every child feels empowered, supported, and included. I enjoy watching students identify their strengths, build confidence, take risks, and stretch themselves to reach their full potential. This drives my commitment to fostering a rich educational experience focusing on the whole child. I believe that success is when educators, families, and students collaborate. I am dedicated to open communication and working together to ensure our explorers' social-emotional well-being and academic success.

 

As we continue to strengthen our school community, we encourage parents to get involved and participate. This year, we have an exciting lineup of activities, events, and opportunities for participation. We hope you and your children will join us to make these experiences enriching and memorable. I want to let you know that my door is always open to you. Your thoughts, ideas, and feedback are not only welcomed but crucial to our collective success. As the new principal of Quail Run Elementary School, I look forward to seeing all of our Explorer Community throughout the school events and working as a team to help each student at Quail Run meet their social, emotional, and academic goals and have a successful school year.
